「赤湯温泉桜まつり」開催
当館から徒歩10分程の烏帽子山公園にて「赤湯温泉桜まつり」が今年も開催されます。
「赤湯温泉桜まつり」は、日本最大級といわれるエドヒガンザクラの群生地であり日本さくら名所１００選の地である烏帽子山公園にて毎年開催されているお祭りです。
赤湯温泉桜まつり
桜の開花期間に「赤湯温泉桜まつり」が開催されます。
桜のライトアップのほか、烏帽子山八幡宮大鳥居のしめ縄掛け替え神事、南陽市うまいもの物産展、伝統芸能などのイベントが行われます。

4月18日(木)14時～大鳥居しめ縄掛け替え神事
毎年決まって4月18日、烏帽子山八幡宮の大鳥居の300kgもある〆縄の掛け替えが神事に則り行われます。
継なぎ目なしの日本一大きな大鳥居です。
赤湯温泉の一大イベントですから、赤湯小学校の一学年全員が桜の下で見学されます。

街中から見る山一面が桜に覆われるパノラマの景色は圧巻で息をのむ美しさです。
また、まつり期間中はライトアップも実施され、幻想的な夜桜をご覧いただけます。
夜は花見客で賑わい、温泉街から見上げる春色の夜桜も見応えがあります。
まつり期間中は、地元特産品の販売や伝統芸能の披露、御神輿渡御なども行われ、地元住民も楽しみにしている賑やかなお祭りです。

There is also an impression cherry blossoms by night of the spring scenery which bustles with a flower viewing visitor in the evening and looks up from a hot spring town. The scenery of the panorama seen from a downtown is beauty which holds its breath in highlights.
Sale of local specialties, show of a traditional entertainment are performed during a festival period.

置賜さくら回廊
赤湯温泉～白鷹町までをつなぐ山形鉄道フラワー長井線沿線の桜名所をつなぐ約４３Kmの『置賜さくら回廊』のドライブもおすすめ。
「烏帽子山千本桜」を起点に、国指定天然記念物「伊佐沢の久保桜」「草岡の大明神桜」県指定天然記念物「薬師桜」をはじめとする樹齢1200年余りの古木や名木、巨木といった桜の名所が20か所ほど点在しています。

About 43 km of drive with a cherry tree famous place in the Akayu hot spring-Yamagata railroad flower Nagai line area along a railway line where it’s connected to Shirataka-machi is also recommended.

「日本さくら名所１００選」の烏帽子山公園の開花は例年ですと4月上旬ですが、当館の今年の桜は、早ければ3月末頃から咲き始める、若干早咲きの桜です。
さらに、4月上旬から4月下旬頃まで 山形座 瀧波の桜、烏帽子山公園の桜、置賜桜回廊の古典桜など 賑やかな桜巡りをお楽しみいただけます。
赤湯の桜の次は、当館周辺に咲く可憐な山桜など遅めに咲く桜をご案内いたします。
桜が散った後は、周辺の果樹園に白い可憐なさくらんぼの花が咲き誇ります。
時期を変えて、楽しみ方の異なるお花見ができるのも当館の魅力です。

After the cherry trees around Akayu, We can recommend other area for more cherry tree viewing. After a cherry tree scattered, a flower of a white pretty cherry blooms in the surrounding fruit garden.
It’s also charm in Yamagata the TAKINAMI that you can do variety of flower viewing in season.
